Crysis 2, released in 2011, is the second main installment in the Crysis series developed by Crytek. Set in 2023, the game shifts the action from the tropical setting of its predecessor to the urban jungle of New York City. Players take on the role of Alcatraz, a Force Recon Marine who dons the series' iconic nanosuit after its previous owner, Prophet, is mortally wounded.
